Kandahar Youth Join the Fight Against Polio

“It was that day where my neighbor Abdullah, a 3 years-old child didn’t come with his two sisters to my family shop as they do every day. I was told Abdullah has been paralyzed by polio, since then I promised to fight polio in Kandahar,” said Shafiullah, a 19 years-old volunteer in Kandahar south Afghanistan.

Kandahar is considered as the “Epi Center” of Polio in Afghanistan. Shafiullah feels satisfied each day, he visits families and advocates for polio vaccine. ‘’This is the smallest thing, I can do for Abdullah and the rest of the children of Kandahar, our goal is not to miss any child. Every child has the right to live healthy life, free of polio’’.
